Backing up your Microsoft Outlook information is quicker and easier with Personal Folders Backup. This software creates backup copies of your .PST files at regular intervals, in Outlook 2000 and in later versions, making it easy to keep all your Outlook folders safely backed up. You can choose how often to back your files up, and each file contains all your Outlook folders, including the in-box, calendar, and contact list. You can have a single .PST file (usually called Internet Folders or Personal Folders in your folder list), but you might also have an additional .PST file you use for archiving (Archiving Folders). Personal Folders Backup lets you back up any or all of these .PST files.
Note:Personal Folders Backup backs up only .PST files. If you have a Microsoft Exchange Server mailbox, your server mailbox folders are likely backed up regularly by your server administrator.

Even so, we didn’t find the interface very intuitive (especially the buttons and the file-addition process), and the cackling error sound got on our nerves. The program also uses more memory than we’d like. Acritum One-click BackUp is free, so you lose nothing by trying it, but we’re still waiting for the perfect WinRAR front end.

Backup naar USB memory stick

In het vorige artikel in deze categorie Hardware kon je een artikel lezen over Externe Harde schijf via LAN. Dit maal een korte review over een ander mogelijkheid, namelijk de USB memory stick.
Vandaag de dag is een USB memory stick van 1 GB al redelijk standaard en gaat de ontwikkeling enorm snel vooruit. Zo snel dat de 10+ GB reeds bereikt is en dat tegen een redelijk prijs. De USB memory stick van Adata is maar liefst 16 GB groot. More >
